Maricruz is a senior Financial Controller and Director at Sartori with more than 30 years of experience in finance and operations management. She is a highly accomplished, result-driven, accounting, and financial management executive, and is responsible for our Workplace Environmental Management System (WEMS).

Maricruz graduated from the University of San Marcos in Costa Rica as a private accountant and later expanded her education in Human Resources and Business Administration before immigrating to Canada. In 2001, she completed her Certified General Accounting (CGA) program in Vancouver, BC and in 2006 she obtained her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Maricruz has demonstrated her ability to streamline business operations that drive growth and increase efficiencies; she has qualifications in developing and implementing financial control and solid leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills to establish a productive relationship with all levels of staff and management.

Maricruz has worked as a variety of capacities over the years, including owning and operating a public practice accounting firm. She has held positions as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for mining companies, Controller for Public Accounting companies as well as Controller of different industry companies in Europe, Latin America, the United States and Canada.
